November 3, 2004—Digitech Systems announced today the release of Report Management for ImageSilo. Report Management is a print data stream processing engine that offers quick access and retrieval to otherwise complex, difficult to manage data. ImageSilo is the premier online document and content management system. Together these products allow multiple users to simultaneously process print data into electronic reports, upload them to the online document and content management system and then view, print and email them anywhere in the world.
Report Management converts ASCII or EBCDIC print data streams (sometimes referred to as COLD/ERM reports) into an indexed electronic report format and stores these reports within the document and content management system. No longer view spooled printer files as text only; Report Management presents the information as it was meant to be displayed with columns and lines in appropriate locations. Featuring a powerfully simple forms overlay system, it can even present the proper background form for any page of a report. No more climbing through stacks of green bar computer paper; no more archiving historical data to rolls of microfilm. Report Management places a huge volume of information at your fingertips within the document and content management system.
In addition to the powerful Report Management component, this upgrade also includes widely expanded international character support. Automated processing for Directory Manager, which imports and indexes any electronic file from any source, has also been added to simplify loading documents into the document and content management system.
