New federal guidelines approved by the Supreme Court April 12, 2006 (Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure or FRCP) require all companies involved in federal litigation to be able to reproduce emails and other electronic documents as part of discovery. These new rules, which took effect Dec 1, 2006, make it even more critical that companies know what information they have and where.

Message Manager allows organizations to obtain—and keep—control of critical messages through the ImageSilo. With Message Manager, organizations can apply pre-defined business rules to determine which messages to capture and manage. Message Manager imports those messages into ImageSilo and indexes them for fast retrieval. Users can also scan storage locations of existing email messages for capture directly into ImageSilo. Messages can be filtered based on user-defined policies, so all relevant messages are grouped together into projects and are available through simple keyword search. Ease of setup and flexibility are built into Message Manager, which allows any email system to forward messages to a mailbox on an email server monitored by Message Manager for management in ImageSilo.
